WP2 is dedicated to developing and optimizing enzyme-based and bioelectrochemical strategies for the sustainable synthesis of N-heterocyclic compounds using C. necator and complementary microbial systems. By integrating heterologous enzyme cascades and advanced biocatalytic approaches under lithoautotrophic conditions, WP2 aims to transform substrates into high-value chemical building blocks using energy derived from H2.
